New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has arrested former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in the INX media case. He was arrested after being interrogated in Tihar Jail. Chidambaram, who was arrested by the CBI, is currently in judicial custody. The special CBI court had extended the judicial custody of Chidambaram till October 17 this year. Chidambaram sought bail from Supreme Court on Tuesday in the INX media scam. Chidambaram alleged that the CBI was trying to humiliate him. The application will continue to be heard today.
A special court on Tuesday granted permission to three ED officials to question Chidambaram in the INX media black money laundering case. Accordingly, the officials went to jail this morning and questioned Chidambaram. Before the interrogation, Chidambaram’s son Karthi and his wife Nalini went to jail.
