Blast inside a temple pool in Tamil Nadu. One person died. According to reports, an unknown object exploded. Five people were injured. The incident occurred in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu.
The blast took place at the Gangai Amman Kovil in Manampathi near Tirupathur. However, police have confirmed that there is no terror link behind the incident.
The pond belonging to Gangai Amman Kovil has been lying idle for a long time. But a few days ago, the neighbors had cleaned the pool. In the meantime, an unknown object was recovered. The explosion was just trying to open it. The deceased identified as K Surya. Five people were seriously injured. They have been admitted to the Kanchipuram hospital.
