Beijing: Two people were killed in an explosion at a gas plant in Beijing. 12 people are missing. At least 18 people suffered serious injuries.
The incident occurred at 5.50 pm today. The blast took place at the air separation unit of the Henan Coil Gas Group factory. Several windows and doors were reportedly damaged by the blast. But the lack of a gas tank nearby avoided the huge danger.
There was a bomb blast at a chemical plant in eastern Jiangsu province last March killed 78 people and injured hundreds.
