Swiss government freezes Nirav Modi’s and sister’s bank accounts. Switzerland has agreed to freeze the account at the request of the Enforcement Directorate. Four accounts of Nirav and his sister Purvimodi were frozen. Of this, Rs 283 crore is invested.
Four months ago, the Enforcement Directorate had asked the Swiss government to freeze Modi’s bank accounts. The decision to freeze the accounts came after it was alleged that PNB fraud money was transferred to a Swiss bank account. He first transferred the money to a bank in Dubai and later transferred it to Hong Kong and the Swiss bank for greater security, the Enforcement Directorate found.
