Thiruvananthapuram: Auto and taxi fares in the state increased. The minimum charge for auto-rickshaw was increased from Rs 20 to Rs 25 and taxis charge to 5 km from Rs 150 to Rs 175.
Cabinet meeting approved the fare hike. The Cabinet will inform the Assembly about the decision. The official announcement will be after tomorrow’s assembly session. It is recommended to increase the fare Rs 30 for the rickshaw and Rs 200 for the taxi.
