Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala inaugurates three major AI-powered digital initiatives — CyberWall, AI-TRACK, and the iCoPS Beat & Patrol Module — to bolster digital safety and field policing across Kerala.
Thiruvananthapuram: In a major push toward tech-driven preventive policing, the Kerala Police officially launched three major technology initiatives today at the Police Headquarters: CyberWall, AI-TRACK, and the Beat & Patrol Module in iCoPS.
The initiatives were formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Home and Vigilance, Shri Ramesh Chennithala. Senior officials, including State Police Chief Shri Ravada A. Chandrasekhar, IPS, and ADGP Cyber Operations Shri P. Vijayan, IPS, were present during the launch ceremony.
Key Highlights of the Launch
- CyberWall (AI Safety Shield): Developed under the supervision of SP Cyber Operations Shri Ankit Asokan, IPS, CyberWall acts as an intelligent digital safety companion. Citizens can verify suspicious phone numbers, bank accounts, emails, URLs, or SMS headers against police intelligence repositories before making payments or clicking links. It promotes the core safety rule: STOP – CHECK – VERIFY – ACT.
- AI-TRACK (Accident Prediction): An AI-driven system that analyzes historical accident data and traffic enforcement patterns to generate dynamic risk maps, allowing police to deploy preventive enforcement before accidents occur.
- iCoPS Beat & Patrol Module: A field-policing digital platform that streamlines duty allocation, live map tracking, offline sync for low-connectivity areas, and real-time verification of suspect records during street patrols.
Citizens can access the CyberWall platform via the official POLapp, WhatsApp assistant, Telegram chatbot, or dedicated web portal.
