Popular pan-Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has officially confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her husband, acclaimed filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. The actress put weeks of intense social media speculation to rest during the success meet of her recently released film, Maa Inti Bangaaram, held in Hyderabad.
Addressing the media at the celebratory event, Samantha revealed that she plans to take a well-deserved maternity break after wrapping up her current professional commitments.
“After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small gap, given my condition. I’ll have to take maternity leave. After that, I’ll be back with another film for my fans,” Samantha announced, beaming with joy. Her husband, Raj Nidimoru, was seated beside her, smiling and sharing the happy moment.
Fans had already begun speculating about her pregnancy after noticing a visible baby bump in recent viral clips from the film’s promotional events. Reports suggest the actress is in her first trimester and is due later this year in December.
The wonderful news comes at a time of double celebration for the couple. Directed by Nandini Reddy, Maa Inti Bangaaram has emerged as a massive box office success, crossing the ₹50 crore milestone worldwide, marking it as Samantha’s highest-earning solo hit. Samantha and Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on December 1, 2025, in a private ceremony at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore.
