
Actress Anu Sithara is heartbroken following the demise of her paternal grandmother, whom she affectionately called ‘Ummumma’. The actress took to social media to pen an emotional tribute, expressing the deep pain of losing one of her biggest pillars of support in life.
Sharing a heartwarming video compilation of their moments together, Anu wrote that if there is another life, she wishes to be born as her grandmother’s granddaughter again. She reminisced about her childhood, noting that she can still hear the stories and songs her grandmother used to share. Anu described her grandmother as someone who was always happy and loved everyone unconditionally without any complaints.
In her moving post, Anu proudly recalled how her grandmother would attend her dance performances at temple festivals, arriving with a ‘thattam’ and happily securing a seat in the front row. The actress expressed a deep longing to sit beside her again, listen to her stories, kiss her cheeks, and drink the special tea her grandmother used to make for her.
Originally from Nilambur, the family migrated to Wayanad around 30 years ago. Anu Sithara is the daughter of Abdul Salam and dancer Renuka. Following her heartbreaking post, many fans and colleagues from the film industry have come forward to express their condolences.
