Thiruvananthapuram: All ration shops in Kerala will remain open on Sunday, August 31, to complete the distribution of ration supplies and the special rice quota for the month.
Food Minister G.R. Anil said that so far, 82% of beneficiaries have collected their ration quota for August.
Ration shops will remain closed on September 1 for stock verification and will reopen on September 2 for the distribution of September’s quota. Shops will also remain open on September 4 (Thiruvonam day).
