Munnar: In a significant development for Kerala’s tourism sector, a seaplane successfully completed its test flight from Kochi to the picturesque Mattupetty Dam in Idukki. The aircraft, which took off from Kochi’s Bolgatty Marina, landed smoothly at the dam after a 30-minute flight.
However, the introduction of seaplanes also raises environmental concerns, particularly regarding potential disturbances to wildlife and aquatic ecosystems. Authorities are working to mitigate these concerns through careful planning and monitoring.
