Kalpetta: A tribal housewife died of cholera in Wayanad’s Noolpuzha. Vijila, a native of Thottamula Kundanamkunn, died.
She was 30 years old. Vijila died last Sunday due to dysentery.
10 people from this area are undergoing treatment at Sulthan Bathery Taluk Hospital. Among them, a 22-year-old man was also confirmed with cholera.
Complete water sanitation is essential to prevent cholera. Do not drink rainwater or sewage. Health department officials have informed that special care should be taken to drink boiled water.
