Kochi: ED is interrogating former police officers in the Karuvannur scam. Retired SP Anthony and former DySP Iringalakuda Famous Varghese are present for questioning at the ED office.
There was some financial dispute between the main accused in the Karuvannur case, Satish Kumar, and the middleman, Kiran. The ED found that former DYASP Famous Varghese was the middleman.
Former SP Anthony had a financial deal with Satish Kumar. Anthony was summoned on the basis of this. Both were called and questioned on 29th of last month. It is said that the re-interrogation is for clarification of the new information.
