Alappuzha: 5 killed in a collision between a car and lorry on Alappuzha National Highway. The accident took place this morning on the Ambalapuzha Kakazham flyover. Prasad (24), Shiju Das (24), Sachin, Sumod, and Amal (26), a resident of Thevalakkara, Manrothuruthu, Kollam, who were traveling in the car, died.
They are employees of the ISRO canteen. Four people died on the spot and one died at the hospital. The dead bodies have been kept at Vandanam Medical College Hospital, Alappuzha.
