Kochi: Noro virus has been confirmed in Ernakulam by the health department. Norovirus infection was confirmed among the students of Kakkanad School. Two samples were sent for testing. There are 67 children with similar symptoms. The health department said there is no cause for concern.
The Health Department stated that the infected children are recovering quickly and the necessary instructions have been given to the school. Classes have been made online so as not to spread to more children. The health department also explained that the source of the disease is not from the school, the child infected with the virus came to the school and spread it to other children.
