New Delhi, July 16, 2025 – Google has launched an exciting initiative to support Indian students by offering a free one-year subscription to its Gemini AI Pro plan, valued at ₹19,500 annually. Previously exclusive to students in the United States, this program is now extended to Indian college students aged 18 and above, aiming to enhance academic productivity and creativity through advanced AI tools.

The Gemini AI Pro plan includes access to Google’s most advanced AI model, Gemini 2.5 Pro, along with a suite of tools designed to assist with academic and career-related tasks. Additionally, the plan integrates AI capabilities into Google Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, streamlining tasks like writing, editing, and data organization. The subscription also provides 2TB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, as well as access to Veo 3, a tool for creating dynamic videos from text or images.

According to a Google-Kantar report, 95% of Indian students using Gemini feel more confident in their daily tasks, and 75% seek AI tools to support personal growth and learning. “We’re thrilled to announce a special student offer: a free one-year subscription to a Google AI Pro plan to help students excel this academic year,” Google stated.
