Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rain warning again in the state. The Central Meteorological Department has warned of thunder-showers from Monday to Thursday.

Mumbai: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today inaugurated the INS Visakhapatnam, the first warship of the Navy’s Project 15B, a major milestone in the country’s maritime security.
The ceremony was held at the Naval Headquarters in Mumbai. Rajnath Singh said that INS Visakhapatnam was the answer to Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
With the commissioning of INS Visakhapatnam, India has topped the list of leading countries capable of designing and building state-of-the-art warships.
INS Visakhapatnam is a Destroyer ship developed indigenously by India. The ship is 163 meters long and weighs 7400 tons and is equipped with state-of-the-art missiles including BrahMos. It can also carry two helicopters. INS Visakhapatnam will operate even in the atmosphere of chemical and nuclear attacks.
At the same time, Visakhapatnam has the distinction of being the largest ship in the Navy’s Destroyer category. Meanwhile, the Mormugao, Imphal, and Surat ships are yet to be completed in the Visakhapatnam class.
Jaipur: A new cabinet has taken office in Rajasthan. The issues between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have been resolved. Thirty ministers, including 15 newcomers, were sworn in. New Delhi: A decision has been taken to extend the closure of schools due to air pollution in Delhi. The Directorate of Education said online classes will only be available until further notice.
The decision comes as air pollution levels continue to rise. Schools and colleges were closed for a week on November 13 due to air pollution. Air pollution in Delhi has reached between 350 and 400 percent.
Delhi’s contribution to air pollution in the capital is only 31 percent, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said yesterday. The minister said the remaining 69 percent of pollution comes from outside and it is difficult to reduce the level of pollution in this situation.
The Supreme Court has also intervened in the issue of air pollution in the country’s capital and surrounding areas. The Supreme Court questioned whether a lockdown could be imposed. The court also asked the central and state governments what steps have been taken to reduce the level of pollution.
