New Delhi: Commercial flights from Puducherry to Bengaluru and Hyderabad will resume on March 27. Air services, which had been suspended for two years after covid are now set to resume operations.

According to a press release issued by Chief Minister N Rangasamy’s office, bookings for flights to Bengaluru and Hyderabad have started. Flight services on these routes will have one flight per day, the press release said.

Bus crash kills 14, injures five

Kathmandu: At least 14 people, including two children, were killed in a road accident in eastern Nepal’s Shankhuwasabha district on Thursday. The bus was traveling from Madi in Shankhuvasabha to Damascus when it met with an accident at Sat Gumti in Madi Municipality-6 at around 7 am.

The bodies of 14 passengers were recovered, said DSP Lal Dhwaj Subedi, head of the district police office and Shankhuvasabha. DSP Subedi said over the phone that five people were injured.

The initial conclusion of the police was that speeding was the cause of the accident. Five of the injured were airlifted to hospital. There were 21 people on the bus. The injured are being treated at Chainpur Hospital.

Islamabad: A father has been arrested for shooting dead a one-week-old girl. Police said he killed the baby out of anger that his first child was not a boy. Jannat Fatima was killed by her father Shahzad Khan, a native of Mianwali.

He fired five shots at the baby. He was arrested in connection with the incident and a case has been registered, police said.
