Chandigarh: The main accused in the murder case of Punjab singer Sidhu Musewala has been arrested. He was taken into custody by the police from Uttarakhand while he was hiding among the pilgrims. He was arrested during a joint operation by Punjab Police and Uttarakhand Police. His name and other details were not disclosed. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has announced a judicial inquiry into the incident.
Sidhu was shot dead in Mansa, Jawaharlal Nehru Punjab. Sidhu and his friends were traveling in a car when an unidentified group opened fire on them. Three people, including Sidhu, were seriously injured in the shooting.

Thrikkakara by-election: Six postal votes and 83 service votes allotted for this time

Kochi: Six postal votes were allotted for the Thrikkakara by-election this time. Postal votes are allotted to officials who are directly involved in the election process. None of the allotted votes have been returned so far.
Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot (ETPB) or Service Votes are issued to officers serving in the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The constituency has been allotted 83 service votes in connection with the by-elections. Of these, three votes were returned. Postal and service votes received until 7.59 am on June 3, the counting day, will be considered for counting.

The government has issued revised Guidance to kill wild boar
Thiruvananthapuram: The government has issued revised guidelines for killing wild boar. The order issued by the forest department states that the wild boar, which is endangering life and property in populated areas, can be killed by appropriate means. Permission is granted by the Panchayat President, the Municipality Chairman, and the Corporation Mayor. They will be appointed as Honorary Wildlife Warden and the Secretaries of the three locations as authorized officers.
Do not kill by the use of poison, explosives, or electric shock. At the request of the public, the Honorary Wildlife Warden and authorized officer may issue an order stating the reason for killing the wild boar by self-hunting or by someone else.
Ensure that human life, property, livestock, and other wildlife are not harmed during the killing. The body must be cultured scientifically. The details of the killers and cremated bodies should be kept in the register prepared by the local bodies. The services of public awareness committees can be used to kill and bury the wild boar.
Chief Wildlife authorized the transfer of power to kill and exterminate wild boar to the Honorary Wildlife Warden and authorized officers. The guidelines will take effect as soon as the Chief Wildlife Warden issues an order.
West Nile fever confirmed in Thrissur
Thrissur: Outbreak of West Nile Fever has been confirmed in Thrissur. The disease was confirmed by Asharikkad in Thrissur Panancherry panchayath. The patient is being treated at the Govt Medical College Hospital.
West Nile fever can be fatal. Culex is an infectious disease transmitted by mosquitoes. No drug or vaccine has been found for this. The review meeting was convened in the panchayat under the leadership of the panchayat and the health department.
