New Delhi:  Lashkar-e-Taiba member Arbaaz Ahmed Mir has been declared a terrorist for planning murders in Jammu and Kashmir. The action of the Ministry of Home Affairs is as per UAPA. Mir is accused of involvement in targeted killings in Jammu and Kashmir, including that of female teacher Rajini Bala.

Mir is a native of Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of Home Affairs stated that he is currently in Pakistan and working for Lashkar ET from across the border. Mir is accused of arms smuggling including explosives. According to the notice, Mir was the mastermind behind the murder of teacher Rajni Bala in Kulgam, Jammu, and Kashmir, and was involved in the planned murder.

Mir will become the 51st person to be declared a terrorist under UAPA. PTI also reported that the central government has also banned the People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy outfit of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), for indulging in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere.

New Delhi:  Accused Shankar Mishra (34) was arrested in the incident of urinating on a co-passenger on an Air India flight. He was arrested by the police from Bengaluru. The police had issued a lookout notice for Shankar Mishra, who was absconding. His sister’s house is in Bengaluru. Earlier, the police, who checked his tower location, got an indication that he is in Bangalore.

Shankar Mishra, a native of Mumbai, was dismissed from the Wells Fargo company. Shankar Mishra was the vice president of the Indian chapter of Wells Fargo, an American multinational financial services firm headquartered in California.

Shankar Mishra urinated on a passenger on a New York-Delhi Air India flight on November 26. He had asked the woman not to complain to the police that if the incident came to light, it would affect his family life. But the incident came to light when the woman decided to proceed with legal action. Following the complaint, Air India banned Shankar Mishra from flying for 30 days. An explanation was sought from the employees who handled the incident and an internal committee was assigned to investigate.

Meanwhile, the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation has warned of strict action if airline staff fail to take action against misbehaving passengers.

Bhopal: Pilot dies after plane crashes in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa. Superintendent of Police Navneet Basin said that the accident took place in the morning.
The training flight was met with an accident. It is reported that the co-pilot was seriously injured. A private aircraft from Chorhatta airstrip crashed into the dome of a temple in Dumri village.

The injured co-pilot was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Medical College. Superintendent of Police Navneet Bhasin said that bad weather and heavy snow were the cause of the accident.

New Delhi: The XBB Omicron subvariant accounted for most of the confirmed international travelers in the country. BQ subvariant is also confirmed. Samples of all 124 positive cases were sent for genetic sequencing. The results of 40 of these have now been received.
According to the information provided by the Union Health Ministry, the XBB subvariant was confirmed in 14 out of 40 samples. The results of the samples were BQ (nine), CH (three), BA.5.2 (two), BN (two), BF.7.4.1, BB.3, BY.1, and BF.5 (one).

According to a report by the World Health Organization’s Technical Advisory Group on Virus Evolution, the outbreak in China was caused by the BA.5.2 and BF.7 variants. BA.5.2 is confirmed in India.
According to INSACOG, the Indian SARS-CoV-2 genomic sequencing consortium, 1.2 percent of the samples tested in December 2022 had the presence of the BF.7 variant.

According to data from INSACOG, the XBB variant is a recombination of the omicron subvariants BA.2.10.1 and BA.2.75. This subvariant is the most prevalent in India. The variant was confirmed in 40.3 percent of the samples tested in December. The XBB variant is also spreading in America.
The presence of the BQ variant is also increasing in India. The number of samples that confirmed the BQ variant was 3.6 percent in November but rose to 14.6 percent by December.

In the new covid situation, tests have been tightened in the country. So far, 19,227 international travelers have been tested and 124 have been diagnosed with the disease. The RTPCR negative certificate has also been made mandatory for those arriving from countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand.

New Delhi: One more accused was arrested in the Kanjhawala case that shocked Delhi. Ashutosh, the sixth accused, was arrested. Ashutosh is the owner of the car involved in the accident. The search is on for the seventh accused, Ankush.

Meanwhile, after the family of Anjali, who was killed in the police investigation in the Kanjhawala case, expressed displeasure, the Delhi Police filed more charges against the accused. Charges of criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence have also been charged against the accused.

After finding the body of the girl under the vehicle, the police found that the accused tried to destroy the evidence. The police have received evidence that the accused got the help of two other persons in this regard. The police informed that there is inconsistency in the statements of the accused and therefore more detailed interrogation is required. The Rohini court extended the custodial period of the accused for another 4 days.

New Delhi: Extreme cold and heavy fog continue in North India. Mount Abu in Rajasthan recorded a temperature of minus 6 degrees Celsius. An orange alert has been declared in many places in North India.
The weather department has predicted that extreme cold and fog will continue in North India for the coming days. The situation is serious in states like Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. Chittorgarh, Churu, and Fatehpur in Rajasthan recorded minus temperatures.

Jammu and Kashmir – 5-degree temperature recorded. Fog has reduced visibility to 25 meters in many places. More than 25 trains are running late in North India. Visibility also affected flight services.

New Delhi:  The Resistance Front, an affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been declared a terrorist organization by the Union Home Ministry. The notification by the Ministry of Home Affairs also said that the TRF campaigned on social media platforms to incite the people of Jammu and Kashmir to join terrorist organizations against the Indian government. TRF commander Sheikh Sajjad Gul has also been declared a terrorist under the fourth schedule of UAPA.
The central government has declared TRF a terrorist organization citing TRF’s recruitment of youth through online media for terrorist activities, terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, recruitment of terrorists, infiltration of terrorists, and smuggling of arms and narcotics from Pakistan to Kashmir.

Most of the terrorists killed in Kashmir in 2022 are from TRF. Three months ago, the TRF threatened journalists in Kashmir.
Officials clarified that TRF is a new name given by Pakistan to Lashkar-e-Toiba to promote separatism in Kashmir. Both Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mohammed had religious connotations. But in Kashmir, except for that, it was presented with the word “resistance” to promote the indigenous argument, the officials said. The TRF came into existence in 2019 as an affiliate of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.
