New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister’s daughter and BRS MLC K. Kavitha did not appear for questioning today. Instead, the documents were handed over to the lawyer.

Kavitha’s decision comes while a petition against repeated interrogation is pending in the Supreme Court. She also informed the ED that she had health problems. Kavitha has been asked to appear before the ED on March 20 as she has not appeared today. Yesterday, Kavitha’s former accountant Buchi Babu was questioned.

On March 11, Kavitha was interrogated for nine hours at the ED headquarters. Kavitha’s financial and personal information has been collected by ED.

Army helicopter crashes in Arunachal Pradesh, search for pilots

Itanagar: Army’s Cheetah helicopter crashed in the Mandala Hills of Arunachal Pradesh. Communication with the helicopter that flew to Bomdila in the morning was lost around 9.15. Based on the information from Air Traffic Control, it was confirmed that the helicopter had crashed. The search is on for the pilots who were in the helicopter.
It is reported that a special team of the Army has reached the area where the helicopter crashed. The search for pilots is continuing in the surrounding areas. Not found yet. The initial conclusion is that the bad weather may be dangerous. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Plus One student commits suicide, and the case against the principal

Lucknow: The police have registered a case against the school principal in the incident of the suicide of a Plus One student in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The incident happened on Wednesday. Father says the teacher harassed his daughter by falsely accusing him of cheating in school exams. The police said that a case has been registered based on the complaint and the investigation is in progress. No further information is available.

Big gold hunt again in Karipur; 1.1 crore gold seized

Kozhikode: Customs gold hunt again in Karipur. Two kilos of gold worth Rs 1.1 crore were seized from two persons. Customs seized four capsules each weighing 1066 grams from Rashikh, a native of Thamarassery, and 1078 grams from Muneer, a native of Areekode, Malappuram.

Officials said that these passengers were involved in the gold smuggling for the reward offered by the smuggling gang. Customs is conducting a thorough investigation in this regard.

Brahmapuram: MA Yousafali announced an aid of one crore

Kochi:  Leading industrialist and Lulu Group Chairman MA Yousafali has announced financial support for the work being done to resolve the crisis following the fire at the Brahmapuram waste treatment plant. Lulu Group announced that it will pay 1 cr.

The assistance is to provide medical assistance to those suffering from respiratory disease due to heavy smoke and to ensure a better waste management system in Brahmapuram. Yousafali informed Kochi Mayor Adv. M Anil Kumar on the phone. Lulu Group representatives will immediately transfer the amount to the corporation.

Telephonic surveillance of health department

Thiruvananthapuram:  Health Department Minister Veena George said telephonic surveillance has been started under the leadership of Ernakulam Health Department. This service is provided by a trained District Response Team. Those who need help will be directly called and given guidance and psychological support. The minister clarified that the services of counselors have been made available for this purpose.

A total of 7421 people were collected as part of the data collection conducted at the places where air pollution was caused due to smoke from the Brahmapuram waste plant. Data collection is done to identify those who need help immediately and provide services, and to identify people who need more attention, such as bed patients, pregnant women and those with other serious illnesses, to provide follow-up observations and services. Data collection is done by trained ASHA workers.

The Medical Specialty Response Center at Kakkanad Family Health Center is functioning efficiently to provide expert treatment to those suffering from health problems related to smoke inhalation. Medicine, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics and Dermatology doctors are available here. Equipment for X-ray, ultrasound scanning, echo and vision screening is also set up. The public can avail the services of this center if they are experiencing health problems. A special counter has also been set up for treatment of rescue workers, health workers and volunteers.

411 people were served through 6 mobile medical units. 48 people were served in SWAS clinics in 11 centers. It is reported that the number of patients coming to the respiratory clinic is decreasing.

Since thunder and lightning are dangerous, precautions should be taken from the time the clouds begin to be seen. Avoid standing in open areas if you see signs of lightning. The alert of the State Disaster Management Authority states that the electricity connection of household appliances should be disconnected and proximity to electrical appliances should be avoided.

One death due to H3N2 virus in Maharashtra MBBS student also died due to covid and H3N2; Authorities on alert

Mumbai: Two people have died due to H3N2 in Maharashtra. A 74-year-old man and a 23-year-old youth died. The cause of death was reported to be infection with the H3N2 sub-type.

“Two people, including a 23-year-old first-year MBBS student from Ahmednagar, died of influenza. The student’s sample also tested positive for COVID-19, H1N1 and H3N2 viruses. A 74-year-old man also died in Nagpur after contracting H3N2, state health minister Tanaji Sawant said.

He said that with 361 cases of influenza reported in the state, the state health machinery has been alerted and guidelines will be issued in the next two days. The Minister advised to use mask and maintain social distance in crowded places. He warned about the medicine without a doctor’s prescription.

Influenza is caused by two types of viruses, H1N1 and H3N2. He said that the guidelines will be issued in the next two days after holding a detailed discussion with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Influenza has been detected in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Thane, Sangli and Kolhapur. There are 303 H1N2 cases and 58 H3N2 patients in the state. Symptoms of influenza include fever, cough, sore throat, and pneumonia. The minister said that all the district and rural health centers have been activated with oxygen and alert has been issued.

Maoist presence again in Wayanad

Wayanad : Maoist presence again in Wayanad. A group of four armed Maoists reached Arimala Colony in Tondarnad Panchayat of Wayanad and distributed pamphlets of their ideology. The team reached the house of Sasi, a forest department watcher in the colony, around 9 pm. The Maoists who took Sasi’s mobile phone and went to the forest converted their ideological propaganda leaflets into PDF and shared them with various groups on Sasi’s phone. The gang threatened them not to divulge their presence and took away some groceries from the house on their way back. Meanwhile, there are indications that the three members of the Maoist group are Unnimaya, Chandru and Sundari. The pamphlet in the name of CPI-Maoist Banasura Area Committee said that the appointment of new beet forest officer of the forest department should be canceled and a new notification should be issued. The pamphlets say that the poor tribals should not be cheated and that people and tribals should fight against the fraud of the government and government officials.

Job Scam case; Bail granted to Lalu and Rabri

New Delhi: Delhi Rose Avenue court has granted bail to former Bihar chief ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi in the CBI case of buying land as bribe in lieu of railway jobs. Along with them, the court granted bail to 14 other accused in the case. Bail was granted on a bond of Rs 50,000. The court also said that the CBI has filed the charge sheet without registering an arrest in the case. Top railway officials from when Lalu was Union minister are also accused in the case. Lalu Prasad Yadav and others have been charged with conspiracy, corruption and abuse of power. Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister in the first UPA government from 2004 to 2009. The CBI alleged that during 2008-2009, Lalu Prasad Yadav had given railway jobs to 12 people and bought their land at a low price.
