The heat rises; Special instructions for participants in daytime programs

Thiruvananthapuram: The Disaster Management Authority has issued a special instruction for those who participate in public events held during the day due to rising heat in the state. The authorities advised that those who engage in activities and activities that expose the body to direct sunlight during the day should take special care. The authorities also asked to ensure facilities to provide first aid to the people in the places where big events are held.

It is advisable for members of the public to wear umbrellas or hats at such events.

Drink plenty of water and try to eat hydrated fruits and the like.

Keep your body protected from the sun and take frequent breaks.

Event organizers should ensure maximum shade and access to drinking water.

It is advisable to wear light colored cotton clothes. Footwear must be worn.

Pregnant women, children, elderly, differently abled and people with other diseases should be careful not to participate in public events in direct sunlight at noon.

The concerned department should strictly ensure the safety of the officials including the policemen who are responsible for the security of the events.

Health centers and public and private hospitals in areas where public events are held should be prepared.

Preparations should be such that even if more people arrive together with problems such as sunstroke, sunstroke and dehydration, the necessary emergency treatment can be ensured.

Ambulances should be equipped and stopped.

NIA seizes Hizbul Mujahideen leader’s son’s house

New Delhi: NIA confiscated Hizbul Mujahideen leader Saeed Salahuddin’s son’s house. The house in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ram Bagh was confiscated on Monday. The house in the name of Saeed Ahmed Shakeel is now in the custody of NIA.

The action is based on a damage order under the UAPA Act. A notice was posted in front of the house announcing the confiscation. Information from NIA sources that more houses and places related to Hizbul Mujahideen will be confiscated

DK Sivakumar’s family’s helicopter was inspected by election officials

New Delhi:Karnataka PCC president DK Sivakumar’s family was inspected by election officials in the helicopter.  The journey was from Bangalore to Dharmasthala Manjunath Temple.

 Immediately after the helicopter landed at Dharmasthala, the EC officials conducted the inspection.  The helicopter carrying Sivakumar’s wife, son, daughter and daughter’s husband was checked.

 The pilot informed the officials that the journey has nothing to do with the elections and that information has been submitted earlier in this regard.  The officials returned after a thorough inspection of the helicopter.

 As soon as the helicopter landed at Dharmasthala, election officials arrived to inspect the helicopter.  A model code of conduct is in place in the state, which is going to polls on May 10.

 Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was on his way to a temple in Chikkabellapura district on March 31 when he was stopped and checked by election officials.

Taliban has banned women from celebrating Eid

Kabul: The Taliban regime in Afghanistan has banned women from celebrating the festival.  The Taliban issued an order banning women from participating in Eid celebrations in public places.  The Taliban order states that women should not appear in public on Eid.  According to this, women cannot participate in Eid celebrations in two provinces.

 Through two notifications, women have also been banned from going out in groups during Eid-ul-Fitr in Takhar (Northeastern Province) and Baghlan (Northern Province).

 The order also states that it is mandatory to mention Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada in Eid prayers.  Earlier this month, the Taliban banned families and women from entering restaurants with gardens or similar in the northwestern province of Herat.

Chicken cleaned with national flag; A youth was arrested

New Delhi: The police arrested the youth who cleaned the chicken with the national flag of India.  Police informed that the accused was arrested on Thursday and sent to judicial custody on Friday.

The police arrested the young man after the video went viral on social media.  The police officer said that his action insulted the national flag.  A case was registered against the youth based on the complaint.

The incident took place in Silvasa in Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.  He used the national flag as a cloth to clean the chicken in the chicken shop where he worked.

The police said that anyone who commits acts like burning, mutilating, destroying or trampling the national flag in a public place or anywhere else will be prosecuted and if found guilty can be jailed for up to three years or fined.

Tourist bus overturned;  Four deaths

Idulki: Tourists’ bus overturned in Idukki. The incident happened in Thondimala near Idukki Pooppara.  Four people died in the accident.  Tamil Nadu natives who had come to Munnar for a wedding were involved in the accident.  The local residents said that excessive speed was the cause of the accident.  The accident victims were shifted to Tamil Nadu after first aid.  The two deceased are C Perumal and Valiamma, natives of Tirunelveli.

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi will approach the High Court against the Surat Sessions Court verdict. Manu Abhishek Singhvi and Chidambaram appeared in the High Court for Rahul. At the same time, Congress alleged that there was a mistake in the court verdict.

Army vehicle catches fire, 4 jawans killed, probe into possible sabotage

Srinagar:  Four jawans died in an army vehicle fire. The accident took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch region. The vehicle caught fire in the Bhatta Durian forest in the Baji sector. The cause of the fire is not clear. There were reports of severe thunderstorms in the area. It is also being checked whether the military vehicle was struck by lightning.

Senior army personnel are reaching the spot to take stock of the situation. Rescue operations are underway at the accident site. Military sources said that they are investigating whether there are subversive attempts behind the accident.

Army sources said that these matters can be clarified after a detailed investigation.

Vadakancherry flat construction black money case; ED has filed the charge sheet

Kochi: The Enforcement Directorate filed a charge sheet in the Vadakanchery flat construction money laundering case. M Sivashankar, who was previously the ninth accused, became the first accused in the charge sheet. ED also avoided the arrest of the second accused Swapna Suresh after the chargesheet was filed in the special court.

There are a total of 11 accused in the charge sheet. Earlier, M Sivashankar, who was the ninth accused, became the first accused. The ED found that M Sivashankar is the mastermind of the money laundering transaction. Swapna Suresh is the second accused. Swapna’s arrest was avoided by the ED after the chargesheet was filed.

Apart from Sivashankar, the ED has so far arrested only Unitac MD Santosh Eapan, the seventh accused in the case. Two companies in the name of Santosh Eapan are also in the charge sheet. Sarith and Sandeep Nair are accused in the same case.

The charge sheet also sought the issuance of a warrant against Khalid, the former chief account officer at the UAE consulate. The demand is to send summons to the other accused. While hearing M Sivashankar’s bail plea, the High Court had asked why Swapna was not arrested.

Swapna’s arrest was waived by the ED after the charge sheet was filed in a special court. After the examination of the charge sheet, the special court will issue a notice to the accused.

Police took Kiran Deep Kaur into custody from Amritsar Airport. They were trying to enter London. Recently, Kirandeep Kaur got married to Amritpal Singh. They got married in Amritsar’s native village Jallupur Khera in February this year.
