Maradu Aneesh in custody

Kochi: Gangster leader and accused in several criminal cases  Marat Anish alias Anish Anthony is in police custody.  A police team from private Hospital in Kochi on Monday night.  Aneesh was taken into custody.  Anish is continuing his treatment in the hospital.  Police guard has also been arranged at the hospital.  There are cases against Anish in Trikkakara and Panangad stations.  It is indicated that he was taken into police custody in connection with this.  A special operation named “Operation Marad” was launched to catch him.  The research team was formed.

Marat Anish was involved earlier in money laundering, drug trafficking, attempted murder, gang attack cases.  A team headed by Kochi DCP, AC, Thevara Inspector caught Anish.

 About 45 criminal cases in and out of Kerala against Aneesh.  Marat Anish was arrested by the police many times earlier.  He was caught by the police at Cinemastyle near the Valayar border. 

Cracker ban nationwide: Supreme Court

 New Delhi: The Supreme Court said that the restriction imposed in Delhi on bursting of firecrackers is applicable not only to the national capital, but to the entire country.

 The Supreme Court’s explanation is in a petition seeking a direction to Rajasthan not to use barium-based crackers and to reduce air pollution and noise pollution.

 The court said that there was no need for fresh directions in this matter and the Rajasthan government should look into the previous order issued in the case of Delhi and follow it.

 In 2021, the Supreme Court issued directives to prevent the bursting of crackers using banned chemicals during Diwali.  The court explained that this does not mean a complete ban on firecrackers.

Air India cancels Tel Aviv service till November 30

New Delhi: In the background of the Israel-Hamas war, Air India has canceled the Delhi-Tel Aviv  service till November 30. Air India was not running to Tel Aviv and back to Delhi before the outbreak of war. The decision is for the safety of travelers and residents.

Usually Air India conduct services from New Delhi to Tel Aviv on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. After the start of the war, the rest of the Indians were evacuated from the troubled areas. Air India service was conducted only in Operation Ajay behalf of Indian Government to evacuate Indians stranded in Tel Aviv. 

Traffic ban on Vazhachal-Malakkappara road

Thrissur: A complete ban on traffic has come into effect on the Vazhachal-Malakappara road, an inter-state highway. Traffic has been completely banned till the 20th of this month. The traffic ban was imposed for the reconstruction of the collapsed part of the road at Ambalapara on the Anamala road.

All vehicles coming from the Athirappalli side will be stopped at the forest department check post and all vehicles coming from the Tamilnadu side via Malakappara will be stopped at the Malkappara check post. Only two-wheelers are allowed to pass through. Ambulance service will be arranged for emergency on both sides of the road reconstruction.

One side of the road is deep and the other side is rocky. The Kerala Road Fund Board experts found that the soil was weak. Subsequently, in a meeting attended by people’s representatives and officials of various departments, it was decided to completely ban traffic and reconstruct the road.

Kalamassery blast: One more woman died while undergoing treatment

Kochi: Another woman who was undergoing treatment died in the Kalamaseri blast. The deceased is Molly Joy (61), a native of Aluva Taikatukara.

With this, the death toll in the explosion has risen to four. Molly suffered 80 percent burns in the blast and was in critical condition. Following this, she was admitted to Ernakulam Medical Center from Rajagiri.

Viyyur Jail violence: Case against Kodi Suni for attempted murder

Thrissur: A case has been filed against ten prisoners including Kodi Suni in Viyyur High Security Jail. The police have registered a case under the charges of attempt to murder, destruction of public property and incitement to riot. Four employees and one prisoner were injured in the attack.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon. The group led by Kodi Suni attacked the opposing group over food distribution. The jail officials who came to know the information shifted the beaten Thiruvananthapuram group to Jai.

7 more people diagnosed with Zika virus in the state

Kannur: 7 more people have been confirmed with Zika virus in Thalassery court. With this, the number of patients has increased to eight. The result of the test at Thiruvananthapuram Public Health Lab has come out. A week ago, around 100 people, including judges, lawyers and employees, were showing symptoms of illness in the Thalassery District Court.

Three courts were closed on Thursday and Friday due to the disease. About 100 people experienced the same symptoms. Some experienced red eyes and fever. Aedes mosquitoes, which spread diseases like dengue fever and chikungunya, are also behind the spread of the Zika virus.,
