Prayed in the office to expel negative energy; Minister Veena George ordered an investigation

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has ordered an inquiry into allegations that prayers were offered to expel negative energy at the Thrissur District Child Welfare Office. Health Minister Veena George has directed the Director of Women and Child Development Department to investigate the allegation and submit a report.

Prayers were done to remove negative energy at the Child Protection Office in Thrissur Collectorate. The incident happened two months ago. The prayer was on the instructions of the District Child Protection Officer. Before the end of the office hours, the prayer was conducted under the leadership of the District Child Protection Officer to remove the negative energy.

The child protection officer said that the prayer was led by a priest student in the office. The child welfare officer’s response was that when a fellow clergy student said that prayer is good for relieving mental tension, he agreed. The District Collector has also ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Police wireless message leaked;  Police case against Shajan Skaria

Kochi: The police filed a case against Shajan Skaria and Google India in the incident of leaking police wireless message.  The Palarivattam police registered the case on the instructions of the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court.  The court had found prima facie merit in the claim of the complainant that Shajan Skaria’s act was cyber terrorism.

 The Palarivattam police have registered a case as per the instructions of the Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court to file a case against people including Shajanskaria and Google.  The complainant in the case, lawyer Firdaus, has approached the court claiming that dissemination of official secrets through Google-owned YouTube falls under the purview of cyber terrorism and therefore it should be directed to file a case against the culprits.

   The court has also asked to investigate the complaint and submit a report.

 Shajan Scaria published the video on YouTube channel Marunadan Malayali under the title Two Shocking Wireless Messages.  Google, the owner of YouTube and a foreign company, is the first defendant in the case.  Respondents two to seven are the representatives of Google India.  Shajan Skaria and his colleagues are 9 to 11 accused.  Aluva Police and Thiruvananthapuram Cyber ​​Police had earlier registered a case against Shajan Skaria on the complaint of leaking wireless message.

Rain will intensify from Wednesday, yellow alert in four districts

Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has predicted that rains are likely to intensify in Kerala from Wednesday due to the influence of low pressure which is expected to form in the Bay of Bengal. A yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts due to the possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in these districts.

Heavy rain is forecast at isolated places in Kottayam and Ernakulam districts besides Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on Thursday. Yellow alert has also been declared in these districts as part of vigilance.

The Central Meteorological Department has predicted that the low pressure, which is expected to form in the Bay of Bengal by Tuesday, will intensify by Thursday. Apart from this, easterly winds blow over South India. As a result of all this, the weather department has warned that there is a possibility of widespread rain in Kerala till Saturday.

ISIS connection: Aligarh University students arrested

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad has arrested six youths linked to the Islamic State from different parts of the state.  The six are activists of Students of Aligarh University (SAMU), a student organization of Aligarh Muslim University.  Information about the four arrested persons has been released.  They are Rakib Inam, Naved Siddiqui, Muhammad Noman and Muhammad Nasim.  UP ATS said that they had planned a large-scale terrorist attack in the country.

 Police also said that SAMU meetings have become a new platform for IS recruitment.  When the National Investigation Agency interrogated Rizwan and Shanawaz, who were arrested in connection with the Pune IS module, UP ATS learned that many students of Aligarh Muslim University were spreading IS ideas through social media and were connected with the Indian network of IS.

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister G Ar Anil said that timely change in the price of the products subsidized by Supplyco is necessary.  The Minister said that only natural correction will be done and Supplyco is taking effective intervention to contain the price rise.

 He said that the price of 2016 should be compared with today’s price and a firm cannot continue at this level.

 The LDF agreed in principle to the price hike.  Thirteen items have not increased in price for seven years.  Naturally, there has to be an amendment to this.  Due to this, the price does not increase in the market.  The minister said that it has not been decided how much the price of subsidized goods will increase.

Sri Lanka suspended by ICC;  The cricket world was stunned

 Angelo Mathews’ time out in the Sri Lanka-Bangladesh match was also controversial.  Angelo Mathews was dismissed on a timed out appeal in the 26th over of the Sri Lankan innings bowled by Shakib.  After Sadira Samarawickrama was out, Mathews, who came to the crease to bat, was late to face the first ball, and Bangladesh appealed the time out and dismissed him.

Air pollution is severe;  Up to 18 schools will be closed in Delhi

New Delhi: Winter vacation till November 18 in Delhi due to severe air pollution.  The winter vacation, which was given in the months of December and January, was postponed due to severe air pollution.  A holiday was announced before schools till 10th of this month.  This is  extended. 

 The order issued by the state education department has directed that all schools will remain closed till November 18 and students and teachers should stay at home.  Air pollution levels in Delhi continue to be critical.  The government has issued many regulations to reduce pollution.

 Earlier, holiday was announced for primary schools till Friday due to severe pollution.  Classes 6 to 12 were also instructed to take online classes.

 After the Supreme Court’s intervention, the Delhi government is preparing to tighten pollution controls.  The government has issued instructions to arrest polluting vehicles.  Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has recommended the suspension of Delhi Pollution Control Board Chairman Ashwani Kumar, who has suggested the closure of smog towers in Delhi.

 Ashwani Kumar had stopped the operation of the smog tower within two years of its commencement stating that it was not viable.  Delhi is in the grip of smoke and snow for the seventh day in a row.  According to reports, air pollution is likely to be severe till November 15.  It is estimated that agricultural residues are mostly burnt during this time.
