Chennai: Five of the spectators suffered a tragic end due to sunstroke during the Indian Air Force (IAF) exhibition held in Chennai. 96 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital. It is also reported that around 250 people collapsed due to dehydration. According to reports, 15 lakh people came to see the exhibition. The show was held at Marina Beach. There are also complaints that drinking water will not be provided in the exhibition area. Due to overcrowding, there was a huge traffic jam. Meanwhile, Chennai Police has deployed 6500 policemen and 1500 home guards for security, officials said.

The guests were warmly welcomed and explained about the thought and the story behind the Kolu display.

A huge cache of drugs was seized from Mehrauli in South Delhi. A group of four members were also arrested. Tushar Goyal, Himanshu, Aurangzeb and Bharat Jain were arrested. 562 kg of drugs and 40 kg of Thai marijuana were found from them.

Pune: One of the 3 people who died in a helicopter crash in Maharashtra on Wednesday morning was a Malayali. Pilot Girish Pillai (56), a native of Kollam Kundera, died. Girish Pillai is a retired Air Force pilot. After the post-mortem, the body will be handed over to the relatives.
The helicopter crashed in Pune’s Bavdhan Budruk area. Besides Girish Pillai, another pilot Pritam Bharadwaj and engineer Paramjith were in the helicopter. The helicopter took off and crashed within minutes. The helicopter was completely burnt.
