The Kerala Cabinet has approved the second phase of the Medisep medical insurance scheme for government employees and pensioners. Under the revised plan, basic insurance coverage will be increased from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. The new phase will include over 2,100 treatment procedures across 41 specialties in the basic treatment package. This expansion aims to enhance medical care accessibility and financial support for public sector beneficiaries.
