Thiruvananthapuram: The scrutiny of the nomination papers of the candidates in the Assembly elections will begin today. Scrutiny until the next day. The last day to withdraw the application is on 22 this month.
The Election Commission has released figures on the total number of nominees in the state. With the completion of nomination papers, the election campaign will be in full swing.
As many as 2138 candidates have filed nomination papers till yesterday. 235 in Malappuram district and 226 in Kozhikode district. Wayanad received fewer applications. The district received 39 nominations.
