Kannur: Kannur district panchayat former president PP Divya, who was remanded in the incident of ADM K Naveenbabu’s suicide, has been granted bail. The bail is with a condition not to leave Kannur district. Thalassery Principal Sessions Court granted bail. Divya was arrested on October 29 after her anticipatory bail plea was rejected.
Naveen Babu was found hanging on October 15. He was found hanged in his quarters in Pallikunni when he was about to take charge in Pathanamthitta on Tuesday after being transferred from Kannur. PP Divya had leveled allegations against Naveen Babu regarding the issue of NOC for granting a petrol pump at Niduvalur Cheranmula near Srikandapuram.
