New Delhi: In a decisive response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor,’ a military offensive against Pakistan in the early hours of Wednesday. This marks the first time since the 1971 war that all three Indian defence forces—Army, Navy, and Air Force—have been deployed together for a direct strike against Pakistan. At precisely 1:00 AM, India conducted precision strikes on terror camps across nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), including Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, Gulpur, Bhimber, Chak Amru, Sialkot, and Muzaffarabad.
According to an Army official, the strikes targeted terrorist infrastructure long used to plan and execute attacks against India. The government clarified that no Pakistani military facilities were hit during the operation. A Press Information Bureau release stated: “A short while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR,’ targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, from where attacks against India have been planned and directed. A total of nine sites were struck. Our actions were focused, measured, and non-escalatory. No Pakistani military facilities were targeted.”
The statement further noted: “India has exercised significant restraint in selecting targets and executing the operation. These actions follow the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen. We are fulfilling our commitment to hold those responsible accountable.
