Famous French filmmaker Jean Luc Godard won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th Kerala International Film Festival. Director Adoor Gopalakrishnan will receive the award in the absence of Godard following Covid. Online registration for delegates to the fair will begin on Saturday, Chalachithra Academy chairman Kamal said. The prize money is Rs 10 lakh.
The film festival will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thalassery, and Palakkad from the 10th of next month. Registration for the delegates will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday. There will be no public events or crowded art events as part of the fair.
The academy will arrange free antigen testing before purchasing the delegate pass. Admission to the theaters will be entirely based on reservation. The fair will be inaugurated in Thiruvananthapuram and concluded in Palakkad.
