As part of Operation Sindhu, a group of 173 Indians was successfully brought back from Iran and arrived in Delhi. The group was flown in via a special flight from Armenia and landed at Delhi International Airport. With this, the total number of Indians repatriated through Operation Sindhu has reached 4,415. Of these, 3,597 were evacuated from Iran and 818 from Israel across 19 flights.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal expressed gratitude to Iran for opening its airspace to facilitate the evacuation in the backdrop of the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. The Indian Embassy in Iran also stated that they are closely monitoring the situation following the declaration of a ceasefire.
As part of the same operation, 36 Malayali individuals arrived from Israel at Palam Airport in Delhi yesterday aboard an Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft. On June 25, another group of 36 Malayalis had also returned from Israel. The C-17 flight that landed at 11 AM carried a total of 296 Indian nationals.
