Agartala: Strong wind and heavy rain caused massive damage in Tripura. More than 700 people have already been shifted to relief camps. A total of 1039 houses were destroyed in the state. In North Tripura, Unakoti and Dhala districts, the rains were severely affected. The rescue operation is carried out jointly by NDRF and Tripura State Rifles. Trees and electrical posts have collapsed. In many places, people have been trapped. The bombs are being dispatched to rescue people. The rivers flooded in Unakkoti district. The weather forecast warns that heavy rains in the state will continue.
