Popular actress Padmapriya has surprised her fans and well-wishers by revealing that she is a mother. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the actress shared that her child has already turned one year old.
Padmapriya posted heartwarming photographs of her baby holding onto the hands of both parents. Accompanying the post was a touching caption: “365 Days of life. Grateful.” While she celebrated the milestone, the actress chose not to reveal the baby’s name or gender.
The announcement was met with an outpouring of warm wishes from friends, fans, and colleagues from the film industry. Filmmaker Anjali Menon, who directed Padmapriya in Wonder Women (where she played a pregnant woman), commented: “Lil one so big already! Congratulations to the daddy and mommy.”
Padmapriya married Jasmine Shah, an AAP leader and researcher, in Mumbai in 2014.
Having made her Malayalam cinema debut with Blessy’s 2004 hit Kaazhcha, Padmapriya became a household name across South Indian cinema. She won a National Film Award Special Mention for her iconic performance in Pazhassi Raja, with her most recent Malayalam appearance being in Oru Thekkan Thallu Case.
