Beijing: The death toll in China has crossed 1600 as the coronavirus spread continues. In Hubei province, where the disease is raging, 139 people died yesterday. With this, 68,000 people have been confirmed with the virus. China has said that 1,600 health workers have contracted the virus and six have died. WHO has expressed concern over coronavirus infection in China.
Meanwhile, a Chinese tourist died in France due to coronavirus. This is the first reported case of coronavirus death outside of Asia, French health minister Agnes Bazin said. He has been in Paris hospital since late January. The minister said the deaths were as a result of deteriorating health.
