The Madras High Court has granted conditional bail to actors Sreekanth and Krishna, who were arrested in connection with a drug racket.
They were released on their own bail of ₹10,000 and two sureties for the same amount. The court has also directed both individuals to appear before the investigating officers daily until further notice.
Sreekanth was apprehended by Nungambakkam police on June 23, followed by Krishna’s custody on June 26. Their arrests were based on the statement of an individual named Pradeep Kumar, who was also caught in a drug-related case.
The Greater Chennai City Police had registered a case against both actors under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985. Following this, both had filed petitions with the Madras High Court seeking bail in the case.
