Fire hazards on the rise: More than 1,400 electric scooters recalled Ola

New Delhi: Ola to recall Electric vehicles. About 1,441 units of electric two-wheelers are recalled in the wake of increasing reports of accidents involving vehicles. The company said it was investigating the March 26 fire in Pune and was isolated at the preliminary assessment.

As a precautionary measure, Ola said in a statement that it would conduct a detailed inspection of the scooters in that particular batch and recall 1,441 vehicles voluntarily.

Recently, widespread incidents of electric two-wheeler fires in various parts of the country have forced manufacturers to recall their vehicles. Okinawa Autotech recalls 3,000 units.

The government had set up a panel to conduct a detailed inspection in the event of a series of fire incidents being reported.
