The K rail buffer zone is only 10 meters on both sides

Thiruvananthapuram: K Rail Corporation has clarified the controversies related to the buffer zone of Silver Line, the dream project of Kerala. The buffer zone of the Silver Line is only 10 m on either side. Of these, construction is prohibited only in the first five meters. The other five meters can be used for construction work with prior permission. There is currently a five-meter construction ban on national highways. Such construction control on state highways is three meters. A buffer zone of 30 meters has been set up on both sides of Indian Railways for future development. It is also mandatory to obtain a railway permit for things like building construction in this area.
