Work from home withdrawn in the state; Applicable to Government Private Institutions

Thiruvananthapuram: After the third wave of covid hit the state, the work from the home system for some special category employees has been withdrawn.

The government issued an order canceling the work-from-home facility for officials. In addition to government employees, government orders also apply to employees in the private sector.

The move comes in the wake of the declining trend of the covid outbreak. The order went into effect on Wednesday. The new order was issued by Revenue Department Principal Secretary A Jayathilak.

The third wave was a widespread work-from-home initiative for people with disabilities, nursing mothers, and the sick. Due to the decline in covid cases in the country, all the Central Governments had withdrawn the work-from-home facility of the employees. The Center had directed all employees to be present in the office from February 7.
