Omicron: More than 4,000 flights canceled

Washington: Countries around the world have tightened controls in the wake of Omicron’s concerns. More than 4,000 flights were canceled worldwide yesterday and today. With this, the journey of thousands of people who were preparing for the Christmas weekend trip was canceled.

As many as 1,404 flights were canceled on Christmas Day alone. The cancellation of the flights was because the flight attendants, including the pilots, were affected by the covid or had a contact ban. A quarter of canceled flights are in the United States. Due to the Omicron variant, the average daily covid case in the United States increased by 45% to 1,79,000. The covid outbreak was reported last week in London at a rate of one in 20. Experts predict that it will rise to one in 10 next week. With the rise of cases, controls in Europe have begun to tighten. The mask was once again forced to be released in Italy, Spain, and Greece. It has already been announced that most European countries will come under control after Christmas Day.
