Thiruvananthapuram: Government is in the effort to stop inflation in the public market, Minister GR Anil said. The government involved in this issue provides the products which are procured directly from neighboring states and by not increasing the prices of subsidized goods, he added.
The news propagandizing that the price of goods increased by the government is not true. Will reduce the price of products whose prices have changed according to the tender, the Minister clarified.
The price has been changed for only a few products. Four rupees for peas, coriander, mustard, and pulses. Rs 10 for small peas, Rs 9 for chilly will be reduced, the Minister further informed. Jaya rice, sugar, and brown rice have been reduced by 50 paise.
35 products are priced at 50 percent lower than the general market distributed by SupplyCo. 13 Items have not been increased by a single rupee in the market, he added.
