Covid death: Can apply for financial assistance

Thiruvananthapuram: The Land Revenue Commissioner said that the website is ready to apply for the financial assistance announced by the government for the next of kin of the victims of covid.

 The website address is relief.kerala.gov.in.

The application should be submitted along with the death certificate of the deceased (issued by the ICMR), a copy of the Death Declaration Document (DDD), copies of the applicant’s ration card, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook, if any, along with the Certificate of Inheritance.

The families of those who died of covid will get Rs 50,000 compensation.  Apart from this, the government has also decided to provide relief financial assistance of Rs 5,000 per month for three years to BPL families who are dependent on the deceased.
 The government has stated that the availability of social welfare pensions, welfare funds or other pensions to dependents will not be ineligible for financial assistance.
