Thiruvananthapuram: The record sales were held at Bevco outlets during the Onam season. Although the market has generally slowed down due to the covid crisis, there has been no decline in liquor sales during the Onam days. 750 crore worth of liquor was sold through Bevco outlets during Onam.
The highest number of sales took place on the day of Uthradam. Sales of Rs 85 crore were recorded in a single day. The highest liquor sales were at the Bevco outlet on Powerhouse Road, Thiruvananthapuram on Uthradam Day. Liquor worth Rs 1,04,00,000 was sold here. This is the biggest sale in recent days. The highest sales at Consumerfed were at the Kunnamkulam outlet.
As Thiruvonam was a holiday, the outlets were overcrowded on Uthradam day. In connection with Onam, an online system was set up in three shops. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. Bevco says online sales have been successful in all three.
