Idukki: A charge sheet will be filed on Tuesday in the case of the sexual assault and murder of a six-year-old girl in Peerumedu Vandiperiyar. The accused is Arjun of Churakkulam estate, who is also the child’s neighbor. The accused has been charged with six charges, including rape and POCSO.
There are 36 witnesses in the case. The statements of more than 150 people have been recorded. The charge sheet will be filed within 38 days of the arrest of the accused. With this, the accused will not get natural bail. The police move is to ensure maximum punishment.
On June 30, Arjun raped and killed a six-year-old girl and hanged her. He was addicted to pornographic videos. Police were able to apprehend the culprit shortly after the girl’s death.
