New Delhi: Strict action has been taken against overcharging for pulse oximeters used by Covid patients. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan clarified that action has been directed to be taken if excessive prices are noticed. In Kottayam, it was reported that in some places an oximeter can be charged up to Rs 2,000 and in others up to Rs 2,500. The CM had earlier announced that he would block the black market of the Pulse Oximeter. This was followed by government action.
