A consortium of various insurance companies will give historical huge insurance amounts as compensation to India. The new public sector New India Insurance Company is undertaking the main insurance. Global Insurance Company also covers the bulk of the insurance claim.
Rupees 3.5 crores have been already given to the kin of passengers as compensation by New India Insurance.
