New low pressure in the Bay of Bengal; Heavy rain likely in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: New pressure zone formed in the Bay of Bengal Meteorological department said. In the next 48 hours, it will be at low pressure and northeast.

Chance of heavy rain in North Kerala as low pressure intensifies, the Met Office said in a statement. The fishermen were warned not to go fishing in the southwestern and midwestern areas of the Arabian Sea, as the winds could be up to 40 to 50 km per hour in the Bay of Bengal.
