Thiruvananthapuram: There was one more COVID death in the state. An excise officer from Kannur died of COVID. Sunil Kumar, 28, hailing from Padiyur, Kannur, died of COVID at Pariyaram Medical College. With this, the death toll from COVID in the state has risen to 21.

Sunil Kumar was admitted to Pariyaram Medical College three days ago due to ailments including pneumonia. Yesterday evening the condition became critical.

Sunil Kumar worked at the excise office at Mattannur, Kannur. When he was diagnosed with the disease, the office closed and the staff went to Quarantine. It is still an unclear source of COVID.
