Taipei: Helicopter crash kills eight people, including a Thai military commander. The incident occurred this morning. The accident is expected to take place in Taiwan on the presidential and parliamentary elections. The helicopter crashed in a mountainous area on the northern side of the island, officials said. Taiwan Air Force Commander confirmed at noon that Chief of Staff Shen Ying Ming and seven military personnel were killed. The accident occurred while the copter was trying to make an emergency landing.
