New Delhi: The Supreme Court today dismissed Akshay Singh Thakur’s plea seeking a review petition of the Nirbhaya case. The bench comprising Justices R Banumati, AS Bopanna and Ashok Bhushan rejected the petition. One of the four accused, Akshay Singh Thakur, filed a review petition on December 12. The review petitions filed by the other three defendants were dismissed in July 2018.

He was taken to Tihar Jail last week after the mercy plea of another accused Vinay Sharma was withdrawn. He was kept in the Manduli Prison in New Delhi. Akshay, Mukesh Singh, and Pawan Gupt are also in Tihar jail. After the suicide of the accused Ram Singh, they were shifted to different places.
