THRISSUR: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister (Actor) Vijay’s planned visit to Kerala to attend Kalyan Jewellers’ Navratri celebrations has been canceled due to adverse weather conditions. Heavy rainfall in Coimbatore disrupted his travel plans to the event in Thrissur.
Vijay was scheduled to fly to Thrissur from Coimbatore. However, due to continuous heavy downpours, the helicopter ride to Thrissur had to be canceled, and he returned to Chennai on a special flight. T.S. Kalyanaraman, the head of Kalyan Jewellers, stated that Vijay assured him he would visit Thrissur at a later date.
Kalyan Jewellers hosts grand Navratri celebrations every year, which attract numerous prominent personalities.
This would have been Vijay’s first visit to Kerala since assuming office as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He was last in Thiruvananthapuram two years ago for the shooting of the Venkat Prabhu-directed film The Greatest of All Time (GOAT).
