Popular Malayalam actress Anna Reshma Rajan has strongly reacted against the malicious editing and unauthorized circulation of her pictures on social media. The actress, best known for her iconic role as ‘Lichi’ in Angamaly Diaries, revealed that a cyber attack aimed at defaming her and tarnishing her reputation had taken place via an Instagram handle.
Taking to her social media, Anna shared the screenshots and details of the specific Instagram profile responsible for spreading the morphed images and confirmed that she is initiating swift legal action against the culprits. She has officially lodged a complaint with the Kerala Police and the Cyber Cell department.
“This is a deliberate attempt to defame me by sharing obscenely edited and defamatory images. It is shameful, completely unacceptable, and a gross violation of my privacy and dignity. I am reporting this account to Instagram and filing an official police complaint. Whoever created or shared this edited content will be held accountable under the law. I will fight this till justice is served,” Anna stated.
She further urged netizens not to support or share such abusive, cyber-bullying content. Following her post, fans and industry colleagues have come forward to extend solidarity to the actress, demanding strict action against rising deepfake and cyber crimes targeting women.
